After three years of hiatus, the Central California Youth Wind Ensemble is celebrating returning to our summer concert with our 8th season opening concert—and this is not one to miss.

We are bringing you exciting music that includes Ralph Vaughan Williams classic “Sea Songs”, a contemporary setting of Japanese Folk Songs in Satoshi Yagisawa’s “March Bou-Shu” and Johan de Meij’s legendary Symphony No. 1 “The Lord of the Rings”.

Much of the modern Wind Ensemble tradition owes its existence to the development and prevalence of the British Brass Band and Military Band traditions of the United Kingdom.

Come out and join the Central California Youth Wind Ensemble as the pay homage to these traditions with traditional and folk music from the United Kingdom, Australia, and the United States including music by composers Percy Grainger, Gustav Holst, and Frank Ticheli.
